Join Brooke and Mary along with Talent Agent, Michael Guy of Atlas Talent and Talent Manager, Chris Silveri of Prestige Management as we uncover the mysteries of the commercial business.


Many of you have asked so we are doing it. It's time to REALLY understand this business. In this small setting, Brooke and Mary, along with Michael Guy of Atlas Talent and Chris Silveri of Prestige Management will answer all your questions and make this whole industry less confusing than it has to be. You will learn what happens in the casting chain as well as what the difference is between and agent and manager. Your'll understand the union rules and the non-union rules. Is a headshot important, should you list commercials on your resume, etc. We will focus on the business as a whole and on YOU individually. It will be fun and informative.  And of course all your questions will be answered and more.

Mary Egan Callahan

Casting Director, House Casting

New York commercial casting director Mary Egan-Callahan, of House Casting, originally thought she wanted to be an actor, until she landed a casting internship and fell in love with casting. Fifteen years later, Egan-Callahan, who specializes in comedy, still loves her job as a casting director. She's even offered her casting advice on television shows on E! and TLC. Her credits include the indie films "Life in Short" and "El Segundo," the MTV series "Damage Control," and commercials for Bank of America, Bud Light, Amtrak, Diet Coke, Levi's, FedEx, AT&T, Verizon, and Gillette.

Michael Guy

Talent Agent, Atlas Talent

Michael Guy has been an agent for over 30 years. Before joining Atlas Talent he was in the on camera commercial department at the esteemed SEM&M agency. He represents adults of all types.

Christopher Silveri

Talent Manager, Prestige Management Group

Talent Manger Christopher D. Silveri takes great pride in a career that has spanned many different areas of the entertainment industry. After a brief stint in acting, he moved on to cast commercials with Liz Lewis Casting Partners and then went on to head up the Legit Department (Theater, TV and Film) at Gilla Roos, Ltd. Now working in talent management, Christopher’s clients are working on both coasts and can be seen on TV (Gossip Girl, The Big C, 30 Rock, Blue Bloods, The 2-2, Smash, Law & Order: SVU, etc.), Broadway (The Lion King, Jersey Boys, Gore Vidal’s The Best Man), National Tours (Beauty and the Beast, Wizard of Oz, …Spelling Bee), and Film (Thanks for Sharing, What Maisie Knew, Run, Sex & The City 2, The Stepford Wives, It’s Complicated). Many of his clients have National Ad Campaigns running as well as major Print Ads. Prestige Management Group is a full service talent management and production company. In business for over 6 years, Prestige has worked on Film, Television, and Theatre projects - developing our talent and booking guest star roles, Broadway shows, feature films, and national commercials.

Brooke Thomas

Casting Director, Brooke Thomas Casting

Brooke Thomas is a veteran commercial casting director in New York City. Recognizing a need for more personalized casting services that leveraged her experience and vast network of actor connections, she formed Brooke Thomas Casting in November of 2012. She was originally drawn into the world of casting 17 years ago and worked at Liz Lewis Casting and most recently at House Casting. Brooke has cast well over 2000 commercials for brands such as ETrade, Hummer, NY Lottery, Red Lobster, Pizza Hut, Charles Schwab and Huggies.

Plans change, we get it. If you book a job or something else comes up we'll try to resell your seat if you notify us 7 or more days prior to the start of the class or workshop. (Go to "Contact Us" to let us know.) But if it's a 7 day or less notice and we can't fill your seat, we won't be able to refund.
